Back in March 17, 2020, many schools were shut down due to the world wide pandemic that hit the United States hard. Many Students had the same question, “ How is school next year going to be?’’ and some just didn’t bother. Sophomores , juniors and seniors today got to experience the first year of high school, Freshman year, they got to see the difference between middle school and high school, got to make new friends, enter sports, ect. The freshmans this year were not able to experience that. They got a different experience this High school year and not a normal one. I’m going to interview some freshmen on how their freshman year is going so far.
Dulce: How is freshman year going for you?
Jose Hernandez: It’s going pretty well but kind of challenging because of Covid
Dulce: Do you go to school every day? If so do you see your friends everyday? If not do you miss seeing your friends or feel separated with some friends?
Jose Hernandez: I go to school twice a week and I only see some of my friends, and yes I do feel separated from some of my friends that go to school on opposite days from me.
Dulce: How is freshman year going so far for you ?
Yadhira Fregozo: It’s going well, just a bit confusing at times.
Dulce: Is there anything challenging for you, for example the classes or the ADay- Bday thing?
Yadhira Fregozo: Some things that are challenging are getting all the assignments turned in one time.
Dulce: Did you plan to do any sports this year? If so, are you bummed that they aren’t going to be like they used to be?
Yadhira Fregozo: Yes I did plan on playing spots. Yes i’m also bummed they have to do it differently
